Trinayani, the three-eyed one, is one of Bengal’s oldest names for Maa Durga. In this set she appears three times: three shield-shaped terracotta tiles, shaped in clay, fired and painted by hand, each with a stylised Durga face and three leaf-shaped eyes, the third one resting on her forehead. The tiles hang one below the other in a long vertical drop from two black beads on a soft bundle of black threads, and a pair of single black face earrings completes the look. We handpicked this set from Santiniketan, where clay and colour are part of everyday life. Wear it with a red Banarasi on Ashtami, a laal-paar saree for sindoor khela, or a plain kurta whenever you want Maa close by.
