These terms apply when you browse jhaapi.in or buy from Jhaapi on the website or WhatsApp. By placing an order, you agree to them.

1. About us

This website is operated by Jhaapi (proprietor: Subhendu Dey) (“Jhaapi”, “we”, “us”), Kolkata, West Bengal, India. Email: jhaapi.shop@gmail.com.

2. Using our website

You must be 18 or older, or use the site with a parent or guardian. Please give accurate details when you order, and don’t misuse the site, for example by trying to disrupt it or placing fake orders.

3. Our products

Every Jhaapi piece is made by hand by karigors in West Bengal. Small differences in colour, size, shape and finish from the photos are natural and are not defects. We photograph our pieces as accurately as we can, but screens show colours slightly differently.

Some materials, such as brass, oxidised metal and dyed thread, can affect sensitive skin. Please read the material on each product page before you buy.

4. Prices and payment

All prices are in Indian Rupees (₹) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Shipping charges are shown at checkout. You can pay by cash on delivery or any other method shown at checkout.

If a price is shown wrongly because of an error, we will contact you before dispatch. You can then confirm at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

5. Orders

You will receive an order confirmation by email or WhatsApp. We may cancel an order if an item is out of stock, the price was shown in error, the address cannot be served, or we suspect fraud. If you have already paid, we refund you in full.

6. Cash on delivery

Please keep the exact amount ready when your parcel arrives. If cash-on-delivery orders are refused repeatedly, we may turn off cash on delivery for that phone number or address.

7. Shipping, returns and refunds

Delivery is covered by our Shipping and delivery policy. Cancellations, returns and refunds are covered by our Refund and cancellation policy. Both form part of these terms.

8. Our content

The Jhaapi name and logo, product photos, designs and text on this website belong to Jhaapi or our karigors. Please don’t copy or reuse them without our written permission. You are welcome to share links and tag us.

9. Reviews and messages

Reviews, photos and messages you send us must be honest and must not be offensive. By tagging us or sending a review, you allow us to share it on our website and social media with credit to you. Tell us if you would rather we didn’t.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be handled by the courts at [city], West Bengal.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you place your order is the one that applies.
