Description
The ghora, Bengal’s much-loved folk horse, has walked through our fairs, thakur-ghors and childhood shelves for generations. Here he is in terracotta, shaped by hand, fired and painted black, outlined in bright teal, with pink stripes, tiny white dots and a yellow-dotted saddle on his back. He hangs between two golden beads on a bunch of fine black threads, and comes with a pair of matching earrings: little black tiles with a yellow dotted lattice and a white border. Handpicked from Santiniketan for Jhaapi, it is an easy, happy set for a cotton saree, a kurta on an office day or a college adda.
