Description

Chhapa means print, and this choker is all about it. Block-printed cotton is wrapped, stitched and finished by hand into a small centrepiece, strung between thread-wrapped balls and tiny silver spacers on a twisted cord that ties at the back, so it sits neatly at the base of your neck. Each set comes with a pair of round fabric earrings in the same print, finished with a little silver flower charm. We handpicked these from Santiniketan, where cloth and colour are part of everyday life. Wear it with a handloom kurta to college, a cotton saree to office, or a plain black top on a weekend adda.

Round-disc style (Maroon, Black): a round printed fabric disc with a pom-pom edge and a silver charm in the middle.

Tube-with-bells style (Blue, Yellow): a horizontal fabric-covered tube with a fringe of tiny silver ghungroo bells along the bottom.

• Blue: a blue-and-white printed tube with a bell fringe, navy and red balls, blue twisted cord; printed white-blue-orange earrings
• Yellow: a yellow tube with red running-stitch detail and a bell fringe, black and yellow balls, orange twisted cord; yellow stitched earrings
