This policy explains what personal information Jhaapi collects when you visit our website or order from us on the website or WhatsApp, how we use it, and the choices you have. It follows the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Jhaapi is an online store for handmade jewellery and crafts from West Bengal, run by Jhaapi (proprietor: Subhendu Dey), Kolkata, West Bengal, India. For any privacy question, email jhaapi.shop@gmail.com.

Order and account details: your name, phone number, email, and shipping and billing address.
Order history and messages: what you buy and what you write to us on the website, WhatsApp or email.
Payment information: payments are handled by our payment partners. We do not see or store your full card, UPI or bank details.
Device and usage information: IP address, browser type, pages you visit and how you reached our site, collected through cookies.

3. How we use your information

To process, pack, ship and deliver your orders, and send order and delivery updates by SMS, WhatsApp or email.
To answer your questions and handle cancellations, returns and refunds.
To improve our website, products and service.
To send offers and new arrivals, only if you agree. You can opt out at any time.
To prevent fraud and meet our legal, tax and accounting duties.

4. Who we share it with

We never sell your personal information. We share only what is needed with:

Courier partners: your name, address and phone number, to deliver your order.
Payment partners: to process online payments securely.
Service providers: website hosting, email and messaging tools, who must keep your data confidential.
Government authorities: only when the law requires it.

We use essential cookies to keep your cart, log-in and checkout working, and analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to understand how visitors find and use our site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site such as the cart may stop working.
